Be the Heart of Your Classroom
Room Parents help create the little moments that make the school year special. It's a fun way to get to know your child's teacher, meet other Isbell families, and help make the classroom a great place for students.
Many of our Room Parents are volunteering for the first time. We'll answer your questions and help you every step of the way.
What Does a Room Parent Do?
Typical responsibilities include:
- Coordinate Angel Tree donations
- Help organize holiday and end-of-year class parties
- Decorate the classroom door (if requested by the teacher)
- Organize teacher appreciation and birthday celebrations
- Send occasional reminders to classroom families about events and dress-up days
- Coordinate optional teacher gifts using the Teacher Favorite Things lists
Every teacher is different, and many tasks are shared among several volunteers.
Before You Volunteer
All room parents must be Isbell PTA members and have completed the required Frisco ISD background check for this school year.
